When you’re guest posting, there are a few guidelines that you should keep in mind. These will help prevent your post from being rejected or deleted.
Guest blogging on another blog: You can link to your site, but don’t make it the first thing readers see when they land on your guest post.
Instead, insert an image at the top of the page or write a short intro about yourself and why you’re contributing to this guest post before sharing any links back to where people can find more information about you and what services/products/etc., that were mentioned in their article (you now know how important SEO is).
If they want to learn more about you or if they want to connect with you directly through social media channels like Twitter or Facebook, then make sure those buttons are visible and easy to find so that users can easily click them without scrolling too far down the page.*
Guest blogging on your site: You must have permission from every single person who owns domain authority (DA) 30+.
This will require some time as well as patience since most bloggers won’t agree unless their links get traffic from outside sources such as Google Search results pages (SERPs). However, once someone agrees with this condition set forth by our system administrators we’ll need proof before we allow them access again – so don’t hesitate!

Start With The Guest Blog Theme
A blog theme is a visual design of your blog that affects how it looks and how users interact with it. You can find free or paid-for templates at various places on the internet. It’s important to make sure that you choose a theme that fits both the look of your site, but also the niche you are trying to target.
After finding a few themes that interest me, I installed one onto my WordPress website using their drag & drop interface. Next came customizing it by editing different elements such as fonts and colors – this process is called “theme customization” in WordPress parlance.
Create A List Of Topics That Work
You may have a list of topics you want to cover on your blog. You may also have a list of topics you don’t want to cover. But what if some topics fit into either category? Or perhaps what if there’s a topic that fits into both?

In the era of guest blogging, it’s easy to forget that you need an outline. But creating an outline will help you form a structure for your article and make sure that everything is organized in a way that makes sense.
It’s also important to keep in mind the purpose of your guest post: if it’s meant primarily as a lead generation tool, then making sure there are links at regular intervals throughout the article would be key.
If, however, it’s part of an effort to boost your brand’s authority by establishing yourself as a thought leader (like we did with our guide on how to create a guest post), then adding more original ideas and insights will help readers learn about those ideas without having to click through multiple pages for each one.
Conduct A Keyword Analysis
First, you need to conduct a keyword analysis. This can be done in two ways:
Use Google Keyword Planner and other SEO tools to find keywords that your target audience is searching for. This type of research will give you an idea of what topics people are interested in, which helps you determine what content you should write about later on.
Use a keyword research tool like BuzzSumo or SEMrush to find keywords that are easy to rank so that when people search for them, your blog posts will appear at the top of the results. If it sounds too good to be true, there’s one catch:
Most guides recommend using these tools as part of your initial research phase only not as an actual strategy for getting more traffic from guest posts because then they might not get noticed by Google at all!
Draft The Piece
Once you’ve got a topic in mind, it’s time to write your first draft.
Get started by writing a few paragraphs that outline what you want to cover and why it matters. Don’t worry about being too detailed or not enough; just get the ideas flowing while they are fresh in your mind.
You can always go back later and rework this part until it sounds like something that would be published on a blog or website with authority on the subject matter (i.e., someone who is an expert in this niche).
Once you have a solid outline of what you want to say and how much space each section will take up, start writing! The goal here is not perfection it’s getting raw content down on paper so we can begin editing later on.
Once I wrote my first draft, I usually spend some time thinking about how well-written each paragraph was before moving on to the next one (rather than worrying if there were any grammar mistakes).

Edit The Piece
The first thing you should do with your guest post is edited it. This is a tough one for many people simply because they are so excited about their work and want to share it with the world, but there’s no way around this step. The more time you spend on editing, the better your final product will be.
The first thing to do is write in the present tense not past or future tense. Present tense helps keep things interesting because readers can visualize what’s happening as if they were there (or as if they are about to experience it).
It also tends to hook readers into continuing through an article instead of just skimming over a section that doesn’t interest them right away.
Next, make sure that every sentence uses active verbs when possible instead of passive voice or vague words like “it” or “there,” use strong action verbs like “offer” or “decide.” For example:
Passive: I offered him my sandwich
Active: I offered him half of my sandwich (and he took me up on my offer!)
Add Links And Images In The Post
Links to your blog posts. In the body of the guest post, link back to popular posts on your blog using a [link](URL). This will make it easier for readers who read that guest post to find more content they like on your site.
Links to other posts on the site. You could also include links in the text of your guest post that point back to other content on the same website as long as those links do not appear spammy or unrelated (for example: “For more information about this topic, check out our other article: [link](URL).”).
Relevant resources. If you have a list of relevant resources books, courses, and podcasts that are good complements for what you’re writing about and would be helpful for readers who love this topic too, then add those into your text!
Include one or two at most per paragraph so that your examples don’t get overwhelming and people don’t think they’re necessary reading before learning from what you’ve written here today 🙂
Social media profiles/other online presences where readers can find more from their favorite authors (like Twitter accounts!).
If there are any social media profiles where people can follow some of these authors/people whose work inspired yours – consider putting them in there too so folks know where else they might go if this article doesn’t answer all their questions about topics related specifically within its context being discussed here today 🙂
Email marketing campaigns/website promotions (if applicable).
Maybe it’s just me but I’ve found myself clicking through emails sent out by companies because sometimes including things like “Coupon Codes” helps me decide whether or not I want to buy their products even though they may cost more than competitors. Maybe something similar could work when promoting websites too?
Interlink To Existing Posts On Your Blog
Internal links are the bread and butter of a good guest post. They help drive traffic to other posts on the same topic, they help search engines understand the topic of your post, and they make it easier for readers to navigate your blog.
- Use internal links in every paragraph.
- For example: “In my last post about [topic], I talked about [related topic].”
Craft An Author Bio
Now that you’re ready to write a guest post, it’s time to make sure that you have everything in place so that your piece has a chance of being accepted. The first thing you need is an author bio.
A good author bio will have these elements:
- Your name and a link to your blog or website;
- Links to social media profiles (Twitter, Instagram, etc.) where people can find out more about you;
- An email address so people can reach out with questions; and
- A short two-sentence biography that gives readers an idea of what they can expect from reading more.

Check The Post For Accuracy
Before you submit any guest post, make sure that it is of high quality. You want your readers to trust you and share your content. The way you achieve this is by providing them with an excellent piece of content that they can’t wait to read.
Making sure that your posts are accurate and well-researched is a good first step in ensuring this happens. If there are any spelling or grammar mistakes, they will stick out like a sore thumb (I know I would notice!) and take away from the professionalism of your piece as a whole.
You should also check the structure and flow of how things are written, whether it be sentences or paragraphs; there should be no jarring jumps between ideas or thoughts which would make for an unpleasant reading experience for someone else reading through what was written by someone else who didn’t do their due diligence before submitting anything online!
Include A Call-To-Action In Your Author Bio
Include a call-to-action in your author bio. When you’re writing your guest post, include a call to action at the bottom of your post that encourages readers to subscribe to your email list and connect with you on social media. You can also ask them to share their thoughts or ideas about the topic, which will help spread awareness of what it is that you do.
Use one URL throughout all of your online platforms. This will make it easier for readers who want to learn more about you and what it is that you do, whether they be potential clients or business partners.
Don’t try too hard! Ultimately, the goal here isn’t necessarily to get as many followers or fans as possible; instead, focus on creating quality content and then just let people come naturally!
Write A Few Headlines From Which To Choose
Writing the headline is a great way to start your guest post because it will help you determine what the basic idea of your article is going to be.
As you write headlines, remember that they should establish an emotional connection with readers and encourage them to click through. To do this, try asking yourself these five questions:
- What’s my message? What am I trying to say?
- How does my audience feel about this topic? What emotions does my topic evoke in them?
- How can I pique their curiosity and make them want more information or action from me (such as a business card)?
- Is there any room for humor or creativity here?
Write A Great Headline For Your Post
You need a great headline. Good headlines are short, descriptive, and catchy. They can be too long or too short, but they should always be relevant to the content of your post and keyword-rich if possible (more on this later). A good headline will also have correct grammar and punctuation so that it doesn’t detract from the reader’s experience when reading it.

Promote Your Guest Post Via Social Media, Paid Ads, And Email Marketing
Once your link is posted, begin promoting it on social media. You can do this in several ways. For example, post the link on Twitter and Facebook with a call to action (e.g., “Share if you agree!”).
If you have enough followers and influence on these platforms, some may click through and visit your site where they can subscribe or buy something else from you.
Alternatively, consider buying ads on Facebook or Google AdWords; this will give your post greater visibility than just regular posts since advertisements usually get more views than normal posts do.
You can also use paid ads (such as Promoted Tweets) as part of an email marketing strategy where people get notices when they log in or open their inboxes (this is especially effective if they’re already customers).
Whatever method(s) you use for promotion needs to be consistent throughout all social networks so that people who follow you know what to expect and don’t feel like messaging about products unrelated to what was advertised!
Remember that you are trying to create a productive guest post, not just one that looks good. There are so many different aspects of creating a great piece of content, and it does take some time to come up with an idea for the article.
But once you have all of the pieces in place, you will be well on your way to creating something truly amazing! Just remember that there is no right or wrong way when it comes down to writing articles; it’s all about what works best for you as an individual writer or business owner.
