Know what questions they have about the topic at hand, as well as any fears or concerns that might keep them from taking action. That way you can address them in a way that will be most effective for getting your point across.

With data, you can support your assertions with hard facts. Data can show trends and provide insights into what people want, need, and like.

Data can also weaken your argument if it’s not credible or relevant to the topic. It is a mantra that has served me well in my career as an author and it has also helped me navigate the sometimes-treacherous world of real estate writing. Writing about real estate can be intimidating if you are not familiar with the subject matter. 

You may feel like you don’t know enough about buying or selling homes, but this doesn’t mean that you shouldn’t jump in head first!

The first step to learning how to write about real estate is simply being willing to try new things and make mistakes along the way. If you’re not willing, then I’m sorry but there’s no hope for you at all… because even though I only have one book under my belt, I’ve made plenty of mistakes myself (shout out to those interns who got stuck proofreading my early drafts).

That being said – don’t be afraid! Don’t let fear stop you from ever trying something fun or challenging (or both at once!).
