So instead of trying to get people into the questioning mode with your headlines and calls-to-action (CTAs) just talk about solutions!

Don’t use too many words. The average reader’s attention span is about 8 seconds, so make sure that your headline is short and sweet. If you can’t say what you need to say in fewer than 15 characters, try again!

Avoid negative words. People associate them with failure and wariness – don’t give your reader a reason to be wary of what they will read if they click on your headline!

Avoid numbers. Numbers always come across as boring; instead of saying “three ways” or “five steps”, try something like “three simple ideas” or “five things I won’t do.” 

Numbers can also be hard to remember when reading online if you’re writing an article about seven steps for investing in real estate (or whatever), consider writing it as a list instead so readers know exactly what they’re getting themselves into before clicking through!

Don’t repeat yourself unnecessarily in other words: don’t repeat words several times in one sentence because this will only distract the reader from what matters most: getting information quickly without having wasted time reading something that wasn’t relevant after all!

#5: Secrets

The word “secrets” is one of the most powerful words you can use in a headline. Using it will help you stand out from the crowd and attract more attention to your blog post.

Using “secret” or “secrets” in your headline can give your readers an irresistible sense of curiosity, making them want to click through and read more about what you have to show them.
