Why I Started An Agency To Employ Freelancers

A few years ago, after deciding to start my agency, I set about hiring a team of freelancers. I had never managed a team before and was not 100% sure that I could do it. But eventually, I did. And what surprised me was how well it went.

Relief From Stress

I’m sure you’ve heard the saying “hard work pays off.” Well, it may not be true for everyone. Some people find that hard work does not necessarily translate into success or happiness.

I know this because I used to be one of those people and then I started my own company where I could hire freelancers instead of working with employees and realized how much more fulfilling life can be if you’re working on something you want to do.

When it comes to freelancing, safety and reliability are key. Check out our comprehensive list of safe freelance sites to ensure you get paid securely and have a positive freelancing experience.

Sense Of Worth

With a freelance writing agency, you feel like you’re making a difference. You have something to contribute to society and the world at large. It’s important to be able to put into words what other people think but can’t express themselves because they lack the knowledge or vocabulary.

You feel like your work matters when you know it can help someone else lead a better life because of what they’ve learned from your writing services. In short, being an independent writer means that there is a part of yourself that feels like it has its sense of worth and a duty to do something beneficial for others around you who might not otherwise avail themselves of such opportunities on their own.

Financial Benefit

The benefits of hiring freelancers and contractors are not just limited to the workers themselves. There are financial advantages too.

Lower salary cost: A full-time employee requires office space, equipment, marketing materials, and other overhead costs. In comparison, a freelancer will only require a laptop or desktop computer with an internet connection to do their work remotely. This means that you can save on office rent and other related expenses associated with having a permanent staff member on the payroll.

Lower tax liability: The more employees you have working under your business umbrella means the higher your total tax liability will be each year and this could add up quickly if one of those employees happens to earn high wages.

By hiring freelancers instead of full-time employees for projects or special assignments within your company, however; You’ll be able to limit how much money goes out as well as reduce what comes back in terms of taxes paid each year – making it easier for both parties involved (including yourself).

Security

The security of having a job is extremely important. It’s one thing to have a great idea for a business, but it’s another thing altogether when you can turn that idea into something real.

It’s about more than money and paying your bills. It’s about being able to know that whatever happens in life, you’ll always be able to take care of yourself financially and that means more than just knowing how much money is coming in each month; it also means knowing what exactly this week’s groceries are going to cost and whether or not you can afford them.

Depending upon where you live (and what type of lifestyle your family enjoys), security may mean being able to invest wisely so as not only to meet but exceed all financial goals while pursuing life goals or taking time off work without worrying about losing an income stream entirely

Convenience

Working from home is another reason why I think working in an agency is great. You can schedule your work around family time, other activities you enjoy and/or need to do, and take breaks when you want or need them.

Most people have a boss breathing down their neck and co-workers who are always there to help or distract them from getting work done, which can be beneficial for some but not for others. Working as a freelancer means no one is telling you what to do or how much work needs to be done each day; it’s all up to you!

Spend More Time On Learning A New Skill

I started my agency to employ freelancers because I wanted to spend more time with my friends and family.

I’ve always loved working, but when you have a family, it’s hard to get away from work. When you’re running your own business, there is no such thing as an “off day”. You’re always on. Even if you aren’t physically at the office, you’re still working thinking about what needs to be done, planning for the next day, taking care of emails… it never ends. And then if something happens with one of your clients? Oh boy! Suddenly all of your plans are thrown off track.

I found myself constantly having to say no to invitations for dinners or parties because I had work stuff going on that night. And since I’m a freelancer now, I don’t get paid unless someone hires me for a job, so that means no money coming in until after that client has signed off on their project (which could take months). And even then… sometimes people don’t pay on time or at all!

So now that I have my agency where I can hire other freelancers who need help finding work, they get paid regularly not just when someone hires them but even while they’re waiting

Helping Others And Being Part Of An A-Team

You feel like you are contributing something to the world, whether it’s helping other people, animals, or the environment. You feel a duty to do something that will benefit people in general rather than just yourself and your interests.

With an agency, you can be part of something bigger than yourself. You’ll be contributing your skills and expertise in whatever way is needed and if it happens to help someone else out there who could use your help even more than you need theirs, then all the better!

New Experiences And Establishing New Relationships

When you work alone, new experiences are the best way to learn. The more you do something, the better you get at it. This is true in life and business! It’s a fact that most people don’t want to work alone because they love having an office mate or someone who can help them when they have questions or need assistance.

Freelancers usually have to figure out everything themselves; however, when starting an agency for independent contractors this problem can be solved with teamwork. In my experience of working for myself as a freelancer, I’ve learned so much from other people who were willing to teach me what they knew about their industry.

In addition to learning new skills which make me more marketable as a freelancer (e.g., web development), I’ve also had many meaningful relationships with past clients because of their willingness to share knowledge with me when starting my agency employing freelance workers was still just an idea on paper rather than reality yet today (and now tomorrow too!)

Learning How To Be Helpful Rather Than Critical, Or Judgmental

As a manager, you need to learn how to be helpful rather than critical or judgmental. Don’t be afraid to ask questions and get help when you need it. Don’t feel like you have to know everything before asking someone else for help.

If you see one of your team members struggling with something, don’t assume they are not good enough at their job or that they will figure it out eventually by themselves (because most likely they won’t). Instead, offer them guidance – even if that means asking another more experienced member of staff for advice first!

It’s also important as a manager not just in the workplace but also out in public situations where other people are working with each other too. It’s very easy for us all to make assumptions about what other people do based on their appearance alone; but just because someone looks like an expert doesn’t mean that person is any better at their job than anyone else on their team who might look less confident or competent in comparison.”

Spend More Time On Learning A New Skill

Learning new skills which may help you in your career or simply make you more marketable as a freelancer (i.e. web development, design, copywriting, etc) is extremely important for anyone who wants to be successful. I’ve learned many things over the years and it has been an invaluable part of my journey as a designer and developer.

The easiest way to find opportunities to learn new skills is simply by asking people in your network if they know of any potential leads or connections that could help you out with this goal. If they don’t know anyone immediately then they might be able to suggest some options that could help you find the right course/program/job etc., so don’t hesitate to ask them!

A Sense Of Achievement And Pride In What You Are Doing In The World

The most important thing is that you can be proud of what you do. You will have a sense of achievement and pride in what you are doing in the world.

When I started my agency, I was very worried about people not wanting to hire me because they thought I was too young. But as soon as it launched, all those fears went away because people started contacting me who needed help with their websites and businesses!

And now when someone tells me how much they love their website or how happy they are to have found us on Google search results (which is often), it makes me feel like what we do matters! And that’s pretty amazing if you think about it!

Saving The Planet By Reducing Carbon Emissions (Or Global Warming)

The planet needs more green, but it’s not just a matter of being more eco-friendly. The world is quickly becoming overpopulated and unless we make some serious changes to how we live our lives, there will be no room for everyone. We need to start having fewer children or at least stop breeding like rabbits (especially those in Africa).

It’s also important that people think about what they buy and how much they throw away. Don’t just buy something because you see it on TV or online think about how long it will last before throwing it out.

Whether or not it’s going to go straight into a landfill when its usefulness has run out (and if so, try and find another use for it first), whether or not that thing is made from recycled materials (and if so, how much energy was needed to create them) etcetera ad infinitum…

A feeling of responsibility towards other people, animals, or the environment – or even to yourself. You feel you have a duty to do something that will benefit people in general rather than just yourself and your interests.

Final Thoughts

People Also Ask

What Is A Freelancing Agency?

A freelancing agency is a company that acts as an intermediary between freelancers and clients. They screen the talent they represent and then provide them with work opportunities. In return, they take a cut of the freelancer’s pay. The most common type of freelancing agency is an IT staffing firm, but there are other types as well.

How Do I Find A Good Freelancing Agency?

There are many different factors to consider when choosing a freelancing agency, so it’s important to do your research before signing on with one. Here are some questions you can ask:

  • How long has the company been around? If they’re new and don’t have a proven track record yet, you may want to look elsewhere.
  • What percentage of their revenue goes toward paying their employees? If they pay low wages and keep most of their profits for themselves, it could be a bad sign for the quality of their services as well.
  • What kind of training/mentoring are they able to offer their employees? Some companies offer more training than others and some don’t offer any at all! Make sure you know what kind of support system.

What Is The Difference Between Freelancing And Working As A Full-Time Employee?

Freelancers work at their own pace, and they are not bound by any office hours or dress code. They are also able to choose their clients and projects based on what they feel passionate about.

What Is The Benefit Of Being A Freelancer?

Freelancers have the freedom to work on a project that interests them at any given time, while also having the opportunity to create their schedule of work. The lack of an office dress code allows them to dress comfortably and express themselves in a way that works for them.

Freelancers also have access to resources like health insurance, 401(k) plans, paid vacation days, and more.

How Do I Make Money?

As a FreelanceAgency client, you’ll be able to set your rates and fees for the work that you do. That means you can price yourself competitively, or even offer discounted services to people who need them. You can also set your schedules and deadlines you’re in charge of them!

Here are some questions that might help you think about how you want to structure your business:

  • What’s your budget?
  • How many hours per week are you working on freelance projects?
  • What’s your hourly rate? What kind of rate do other freelancers charge in your field?
  • Are there any special skills or certifications that will set you apart from other freelancers?
  • What will make people want to hire YOU instead of someone else?

How Do I Get Started As A Freelancer?

The first thing you need to do is create your profile. Your profile will include information about your skills and experience, as well as a portfolio of your previous work.

Once you have created your profile, you can search for jobs in the agency that appeals to you the most. When you find a job that interests you, just click on it and submit your application. You can also apply for jobs by contacting the agency directly or through our website.

How Much Should I Charge For My Services?

It depends on how much experience and expertise you have in this field or industry. For example, if you are an experienced marketing professional with a lot of contacts in the industry, then expect to charge more than someone who has just graduated from college with no real experience but wants to start working immediately.

It’s always better to charge a little more rather than too little because clients will realize there are other freelancers out there willing to work for less money than what they offered to get the job done right away!
