But what does all this mean? How do you get started? What are the best practices? In this guide, I’ll walk through how to go from 0 to $100,000/year with SEO content and not just any old SEO content, but the kind of stuff that gets actual people clicking on links and reading everything they can find on your site.

Write For People First, Search Engines Second

The first thing to know about SEO content is that it’s not about tricking search engines into ranking your page higher. Instead, you should focus on writing for people first and search engines second.

That might sound counterintuitive if your ultimate goal is to get more traffic from Google (or other search engines), but it’s the only way to go about things if you want to build an audience of engaged readers who will share your content and return often to read more of what you have to say.

To discover what kind of content resonates with people online, look no further than sites like Reddit and Quora two communities where users ask questions and provide answers based on their personal experiences (and those of others).

You’ll find that most questions have one or more recurring themes: What happened? Why did this happen? How can I avoid this happening again?

When it comes to SEO writing, following every piece of advice blindly won’t get you far. Learn about the 15 Ridiculous SEO Writing Rules you should never follow, and discover a smarter approach to improve your content’s search visibility.

Research The Right Keywords

The next step is to do keyword research.

You can use tools such as Google AdWords Keyword Planner and Moz’s Keyword Explorer Tool. These are free tools, so no excuses.

You have to know what you want your content to rank for before you start writing it. This is where keyword research comes in handy it helps you find out how many people search for certain keywords and how much competition there is for those keywords (how many pages are about them).

This data will help you understand if your idea is viable or not, and which keywords would be most suitable for your product or service.

By doing this research, we can also find content ideas that we wouldn’t have thought about otherwise, like “how old do I need to be before I can get braces?”

Create A Content Strategy

When you are creating a content strategy, you need to ask yourself what you want to accomplish. What topic(s) do you want to cover more in-depth? Do you have an audience in mind for this content? How often should the articles be published and how should they be organized (by topic or by month, for example)?

What tools will help make this process as efficient as possible? If your website is hosted on WordPress then I would recommend using a plugin called Yoast SEO or All In One SEO Pack. These plugins will help optimize your posts so that search engines can easily find them and rank them higher on their search engine results pages (SERPs).

Feature Your Best Posts In The Sidebar Of Your Blog

You can use the sidebar of your blog to feature your best content. This is a great way to show readers what you have to offer and promote your most popular posts.

The sidebar on my site currently shows the following:

Recent Posts – I use this section to list all of the newest posts from my blog in order of their publication date. This helps visitors who are new or returning see what has been published recently, as well as find something they may be interested in reading if they’ve already read everything else on the site.

Most Popular-This section lists all of my most popular posts based on views over time and shares through social media outlets like Facebook, Twitter, LinkedIn, and Google+. These sections give readers an idea of which articles are worth checking out because they’re getting shared by so many other people (and thus are likely good).

Publish In-Depth Guides That Solve Real Problems

You may be wondering: How can I write an in-depth guide that solves a real problem?

The answer is simple. You just have to think of something you’re good at and then write about it. Maybe you’re the best bowler in your local bowling league, or maybe you know how to make the best pancakes ever made by anyone on Earth. Or maybe and this is where I’m going with this maybe writing about SEO content is your area of expertise!

Maybe that seems like a stretch, but here’s the thing: If there are thousands of companies who are willing to pay people handsomely for their SEO knowledge, then surely there’s some kind of demand for what we’re selling as well!

And if there’s demand, surely it’s worth putting some effort into creating these guides and publishing them online so other people can benefit from our expertise too!

Use Search Operators To Find New Content Opportunities

You can use search operators to find new content opportunities. Search operators are a powerful way to find search terms that are not being searched for. You should be using search operator tools to your advantage because they can help you find new content opportunities and new content ideas!

With that said, let’s get into the specific types of content that you want:

Write Guest Posts For Other Sites Not Owned By You Or Your Competitors

Writing for other sites is one of the best ways to build your name in your niche and establish yourself as an authority. Let’s take a look at how this might work with SEO content specifically:

Write for sites that are not owned by you or your competitors. This helps create trust with readers because they know you’re not trying to promote yourself or sell them something (i.e., get them to buy from you).

Write for sites outside of your industry or geographic area or both! The idea here is that if someone reads a guest post on another site and likes what they read, then they will be more likely to check out the author’s blog based on their previous experience with him/her and hopefully become regular readers in the process.

Focus on topics related but not identical to yours; this gives readers something new while still allowing them access to topics relevant enough that they’ll continue reading!

Optimize For LSI Keywords

LSI keywords are keywords that are semantically related to your target keyword. For example, if you’re targeting “SEO,” an LSI keyword would be something like “search engine optimization.”

LSI keywords are very useful for SEO because they help search engines understand the context of your page. They also help with click-through rate (CTR), which means more people will visit your site and stay there longer when they see LSI in their search results.

Here’s how to find good LSI keywords:

Go through Google’s autocomplete function by typing in a common variant of your target keyword (for example, type in “web design”). Look at all the different variations people are typing into the search bar; these are all great potential LSI terms! Add them into SEMrush and check which ones receive high rankings on top pages or posts on this topic area.

You can also use other tools like Ahrefs Site Explorer or Moz Keyword Explorer to analyze how often certain words appear within these same contexts, then add those terms into SEMrush as well!

Improve Existing Articles And Get More Traffic From Them

The first step to getting more traffic from your content is improving the existing articles on your site. If you want to get traffic and improve your rankings with SEO, then you need to use the right keywords in your titles, descriptions, and text. You also need to check that they are balanced throughout.

Here’s how:

Use Google Analytics or another analytics tool like Piwik to find out what keywords bring traffic through organic search results on Google or other search engines like Yahoo! Search or Bing (formerly Microsoft Live Search).

Use those keywords in meta title tags, meta descriptions, and within article body text (depending on where you rank for those terms).

Be sure not to overdo it by using them excessively; less than 10% of total words is generally a good rule of thumb when it comes to keyword density – so don’t go crazy stuffing in tons of keywords at every opportunity just because they’ll help improve rankings!

Use Schema Markup On Your Website And In Your Articles

Schema markup is a way of telling search engines what your content is about and how to display it. It’s also something you can add to your website so that when someone searches for a specific type of content, they see yours.

For example, if you have an article about “how to go from 0 to $100k/Year with SEO Content” on your website and want Google to show that as the title in their search results. You would use schema markup (instructions below).

Clean Up And Improve Internal Links To Send Search Engines All Over Your Site And Improve Crawlability

If a search engine is crawling your site and sees that there are no internal links to other pages, it won’t bother visiting those pages. So make sure you have internal links to all of your content.

Internal links can be very powerful for SEO, but they can also be counterproductive and dilute the overall effectiveness of your site’s crawl ability by being too numerous or too long, which is why it’s important to keep things under control and make sure that each internal link is relevant and useful for both users and search engines alike.

Interlink Related Articles In Every Blog Post You Publish

The first step is to make sure you have some related articles on your website. If you don’t, go ahead and write a few. Once they’re published, we can move on to the next step: interlinking them.

This is what most people think of when they hear the word “internal linking,” but it’s not as simple as just linking between two articles on your site.

The best way to do this is by creating a directory of all your other articles a table of contents or an archive page and then making sure every article links back to it in some way whether that be through text or with an image that links back up top or in its footer (as long as no one will click on it).

That way users who are reading one post can easily find other relevant material without having to spend time searching for it themselves or clicking around aimlessly until something catches their eye.

Repurpose Old Content Into New Content And Vice Versa

You can repurpose your old content into new content by adding new information, or you can repurpose it by adding new images. This will make your old content more valuable, and it will give Google a reason to keep crawling the original article since they’re still getting fresh content from it.

Let’s say you have an article that ranks for “how to be healthy in college.

You could add a paragraph about how physically active students tend to sleep better at night which helps them feel alert during the day, or you could take a picture of yourself having fun after exercising at the gym and use that as an image with this article instead of using a stock photo of someone else working out (which many people do).

Follow A Simple Editorial Calendar So You Don’t Miss Publishing Deadlines Or Forget Great Topic Ideas

A content calendar is like a roadmap. It can help you stay on track and make sure that you’re hitting all the deadlines for each piece of content, as well as ensure that you don’t miss any great topic ideas.

To create your editorial calendar:

Pick a free tool (like Google Calendar or Trello) or buy one (like CoSchedule or Podia).

Create a separate tab for all of your blog posts and social media updates, including guest posts, emails, etc. This way everything is organized in one place and easy to find later!

Fill out each section with the date it needs to be published and then fill in any details about what needs to go into this piece of content (the keyword research I did earlier would go here so I remember which keywords I need).

If other people are working on pieces of this project with me such as my assistant editing my copy I’ll add their names as well so that everyone knows when they should start working on their section of the post/email/etc., according to our schedule!
