Let’s get something straight: If you want to make a consistent income as a freelance writer, then you have to put writing first. To write consistently, you must be able to set aside time for it every day. 

You also need to show up for your writing session (even if it’s just for 10 minutes or so) and leave your phone in another room if not give it up entirely during this time so that you can focus on the task at hand instead of checking social media or answering emails.

Once you have established regular writing sessions and made them non-negotiable commitments in your schedule, then comes the next step: becoming consistent with what type of content are producing.
