First and foremost, there’s the hourly rate. This can range anywhere from $5 / hour to $25+ / hour depending on your experience, skillset, and client base. Since most jobs offer a base rate plus upsell bonuses and tips from customers, it’s not unheard of to make an average of around $10 / hour in sales commissions during slow months that dip down to just 5 hours a week or so. 

During the busy season (around November to December) I’ve been able to work 40 or even 50 hours per week with a relatively low cost-of-living situation. That brings us to our next point: how much can you earn in a month?

With a good hourly rate and great opportunities for overtime especially if you’re working for US clients while living overseas you can earn anywhere from $2k–6k USD per month without breaking much more than a sweat!
