Optimize Your Content For SEO

Be sure to optimize your content for SEO. This means using keywords in the title, body, and metadata of your posts.

You should use a keyword density of 1-2% throughout your blog post. If you’re not familiar with how to do this, here’s an easy way to calculate it:

Find out how many times you’ve used a particular keyword (i.e., “puppy training”) in the article. For example, if I wrote that “I got my first puppy when I was 6 years old,” then my count would be 2.

Because both instances were within one sentence and there were no other occurrences of “puppy training” on that page or any other pages on my website where this particular article lives (this is important).

Calculate how many words are in the article by counting the number at its end and then dividing by 100 (for example 200/100 = 2). The result will be an approximate number between 0-10; 4 is a good place to start if you’re unsure what category yours falls under yet!

Now multiply these two values together (2×4) = 8 and voilà! That’s how many times our target keyword appears per 100 words in this particular post about puppy training.”

Optimize Your Content For Social Sharing

Use Social Buttons

Using social buttons is one of the easiest ways to optimize your content for sharing. Social media users are already familiar with these buttons and will be able to find them easily on the page.

You can use these buttons in the header or footer of your site, or you can display them as icons on each post (like we do at HubSpot).

Showcase Your Brand

Your logo or company name should appear somewhere on every page of your website so that visitors know who they’re dealing with when they land there.

It’s also a good idea to include some personality in how you present this information you don’t want it looking like an “official” brochure!

One example would be using colors from your brand palette in conjunction with some fun graphics or textures that make it stand out among other sites’ logos/brands

Write Your Post As If It’s Going To Be Shared Thousands Of Times

Now that you’ve decided on a great topic and title, you need to make sure your content is optimized for social media.

Here are the most important things to remember when writing your post:

Include a call to action. This is an invitation for the reader to take any action, such as signing up for your email list or visiting your site. Make sure it’s clear what they should do next!

Add links throughout the post (and in particular at the bottom). These can be links back to your site or social media accounts, or even just internal links within this piece of content itself (e.g., “For more information about this topic, see my blog post about [topic].”)

You can also add links that direct people away from this page altogether;

For example, if someone has clicked on an email signup link in one of my posts and then decides not to sign up after all but still wants another article from me I might offer them another option by adding a link directly below that says “Yes! I want more content from [name]. Sign me up!”

Crafting content that resonates with your audience is key. Learn how to create content that gets noticed in our guide: How to Create Buzzworthy Content on Social Media.

Create A Great Headline

The headline is one of the most important parts of your post, so don’t forget to spend time on it. A good headline should be short (less than 60 characters), descriptive, and keyword-rich.

The ideal length for a headline varies depending on the type of content you’re creating (shorter for blog posts vs longer for articles), but remember that it needs to be able to stand out in search results and also help you connect with your audience.

Here are some ideas:

Use a question that piques interest or asks them directly to engage them further with your post. For example, “Can You Find Your Passion In 10 Days? We Found Out!”

Use numbers in your headlines when possible because these tend to get more clicks than other types of headlines and they can be very effective if they seem like they have something shocking within them!

For example, “The First Person To Walk On Mars Died Of Cancer At Age 52” will probably get more attention than something like “Astronaut John Young Dies At Age 87″ even though both are equally sad news stories.

Add Value In The Form Of Statistics, Tips, Tutorials, And Interviews

In a friendly tone: You can add value in the form of statistics, tips, tutorials, and interviews. It’s important to back up your claims with evidence.

For example, if you say that people who buy from you make more money than those who don’t buy from you, provide data to support this claim.

If there are no sales numbers or other measurable results for your product or service yet.

Because it is new on the market or because it hasn’t been released yet you could share survey results with customers who will go on record as saying they have seen results using whatever it is that you are selling.

The same goes for content marketing: if someone reads something useful in one of your posts and uses it as inspiration for their work (and ends up hiring a freelancer through Upwork), then you have added value by helping someone else succeed!

When it comes to marketing, understanding the key factors is crucial. Dive into our discussion here: The Key to Successful Marketing Strategy.

Make Your Text Scannable By Using Bullet Points

Bullet points can help your reader quickly scan the text and pick out important information. They should be used to break up long paragraphs of text, especially on web pages where there’s not much space to work with.

You need to make sure that your bullets are on the same line as the text they follow, not in a separate line above or below it.

You also need to be consistent with how you use bullets: don’t have one point per bullet and then two for another point later on; instead, use one for each idea/section/etc so readers know where they are at all times as they read through what you’ve written.

Showcase Unique Selling Points Throughout Your Posts

In your content, you have a golden opportunity to showcase what makes your product better than the competition. If readers are already familiar with the market and its offerings, they’ll be able to easily compare what they know to what you’re offering.

By highlighting how your product is different from all others on the market, you can help them understand why yours is superior (or at least why it’s worth considering).

In addition to highlighting unique selling points within each piece of content that you create for marketing purposes, consider adding “About Us” pages or other informational resources that dive deeper into these differences.

Take advantage of every opportunity available for showcasing what makes your brand different from its competitors!

Hit Publish When You Know That Your Audience Is Active On Social Media

Use tools to monitor when your audience is active. Tools like Facebook Insights can give you a general idea of when your audience is most active.

Use tools to monitor when your audience is most active on social media. If they’re most likely to be using it during the day, schedule your posts accordingly.

If they’re more likely to use social media at night, do the same thing, and don’t publish content then if you want it seen by more people!

Use tools to monitor when your audience is least active on social media (and why). This will help you figure out which days might not be good for publishing new content.

Because everyone’s asleep or otherwise occupied with other things going on in their lives (if everyone’s out at work all day every weekday except Monday, Tuesday isn’t going to be as good of a day for posting new content as Wednesday would).

Create A Hook Or Teaser For Readers To Share The Post With Their Network

If you want people to share your content, you must give them a reason. There are several ways to do this. You can:

  • Use an interesting statistic or fact
  • Ask a question that readers will have an opinion on (e.g., “Have you ever been in this situation?”)
  • Say something controversial or provocative (e.g., “This is why we should all stop eating meat!”)

These types of hooks are super simple, but they work because they’re asking readers to think about something and/or take action by clicking through to read more of the article itself, in other words, they’re asking readers “what would happen if I did this?”

Which often leads us right back into our own experiences and helps us empathize with one another even more than if we were just reading cold facts alone

Leverage Influencers In Your Industry To Promote Your Post (One At A Time)

After you’ve published your post, it’s important to start promoting it.

To do this, you’ll want to reach out to influencers in your industry. These are people who have a big following and influence on the industry.

They can be writers or bloggers with an audience of thousands of readers or they could be people with a smaller audience but high engagement rates (comments and shares), which means that their followers value what they say.

The first step is finding influencers in your industry who have shared similar content before. To find these people, go through their recent posts and see if there’s any overlap between them and yours:

If so, reach out!

If not, try reaching out anyway because even if there isn’t any immediate connection between the two posts, it never hurts to ask for help from someone influential in your field…
