If people don’t know about your hashtag, then why would they search for it? The best way to get started is to use popular hashtags that are relevant to the topic of your post. 

For example, if I wanted my Instagram post about writing my first novel (below) included in all searches related to “writing” or “writing tips,” then I would use #writingtips #writerproblems as well as any specific words related to what I’m talking about (like #novel).

Most people are going to be much more interested in reading testimonials from actual customers, so make sure you provide these. You can do this pretty easily by either sharing the content and images on social media or just sharing links to your website where it’s hosted.

Share a photo of the person who wrote the testimonial with a quote from them about your product or service.

Post a video clip of someone talking about how great you are and why they love working with you. You could even use this as an ad on Facebook if they have one-minute videos enabled (that is unless that’s against their policies).

Share another link that leads back to your website where potential clients can read more about the impressive jobs other people have done when working with you and what they had to say about their experience doing business with you!

Post at least once a day. More is not better. Less is not better either.

The most common question I get from people who are just starting out with social media is, “How many times a week should I post?” My answer: once per day for each platform you want to use, plus an additional one for your blog or website. If you’re only using one platform (like Instagram), then post twice per day once in the morning and once at night before bedtime for consistency’s sake.

By being consistent, you’ll get better at posting and become more efficient with your time. Plus, it’s just easier for users to remember when they can expect content from you on a regular basis.
