For example, if I were an accountant trying to reach new clients, one idea might be to create a Facebook group called “Gardening Accountants” or “Accountants Who Love Cats.”
This would let me connect with people who share my interests but aren’t necessarily looking for an accountant and then once we’ve established a rapport via our shared passions and interests, I’d have an opportunity to talk about my accounting services.
The important thing is just getting started! The more self-promotion practice you put in now, the easier it will be when it comes time for real business promotion later on down the road.
It’s also helpful each week or month (depending on how often your company releases new products/services).
