You can get a domain name through sites like Namecheap or GoDaddy and then buy hosting through Bluehost (which is what I use) or DigitalOcean (my preferred choice because they’re cheap). 

Once you have those two things set up, all that remains is creating content and uploading it on your site. I recommend WordPress as the best platform for most people because there are free themes available for beginners who are looking for something simple yet professional-looking; 

However, if writing code isn’t your thing or if the plugins available with WordPress aren’t doing it for ya’, try Squarespace instead.

Making sure your site looks good: When designing my first website back in 2010, I used Photoshop because I wanted everything to look perfect I even paid someone else $200 just so he could finish off my logo design! 

But these days there are plenty of free tools out there like Canva that allow anyone with basic computer skills (and not too much time on their hands) access to some nice templates that they can personalize using text boxes or photos taken from their own devices.
