Tip #1: Get A Blog

A blog is the easiest way to make money as a writer. It gives you a platform to showcase your writing skills, build an audience and start making money. But where do you start? First, you have to get your hands on a good domain name that will help people find and remember your website easily. A catchy title can go a long way towards accomplishing this goal!

The next step is making sure it’s easy for people to type or click through from any page on the internet (like Google or Facebook). This means choosing simple words that can easily be typed by anyone anywhere without having difficulty finding them in the first place

Tip #2: Have A Niche

The second tip is to have a niche. If you don’t know what your writing niche is, you can find out by looking at all of the topics you write about. Are there any that seem to get more views and shares? Those are probably your niches.

Then, you need to figure out if those niches are related or not. For example, if I was writing about how to raise chickens and then wrote an article on how to make homemade bread using flour from the chickens I raised in my backyard, these two are unrelated topics so they wouldn’t be part of the same niche (unless people love chicken-flavored bread).

If we look at another example: Let’s say I wrote an article about how important it is for kids today because they spend so much time on computers when they should be outside playing instead.

Then later on in this book series where I talk about ways parents can encourage their children with disabilities through sports participation which includes volunteering at Special Olympics events around town, these would both fall under “Health & Wellness” because they’re all related topics related to health & wellness issues with children specifically those who have special needs.”

Tip #3: Write Interesting Posts Consistently

Write about topics that you are passionate about. If you’re writing about something that you love, it will be a lot easier to get excited and interesting. The more passionate you are about your topic, the more interesting it will be for your readers too!

Write about topics that you have a lot of knowledge about. If you write on a topic where people come to read information from an expert, then they will trust what you say and want to learn from this person because they know they can trust them.

Write about topics that have a lot of experience in (this can also help with writing). You could write tips or advice based on personal experience as well as research into how others have dealt with similar issues before this way people know what works for them specifically!

Tip #4: Write Guest Posts On Other People’s Blogs

Writing guest posts is a great way to get your name out there. When you write for other people’s blogs, sites, podcasts, and newsletters, they will promote it on social media and mention you in their own blogs/podcasts/newsletters.

You can also ask them if they would be willing to share the article on their Facebook page or newsletter list.

Writing guest posts can be very time-consuming but well worth it if done correctly (I’ll show you how below).

Tip #5: Never Write For Free

This is a good rule of thumb for all writers. If you’re asked to write something, either as part of your job or because some random person wants you to, always ask for money first. You should never commit yourself to write unless you’ve received payment in advance.

The only exception is if you have a friend who needs help with their blog and asks if you can write an article for them. If this happens, be sure to make it clear that this is just as much investment on your part as it is theirs they’ll give up their time and effort in exchange for the content and traffic your post will generate.

Tip #6: Create A Course And Promote It

Creating your online course is one of the most lucrative ways to make money as a writer. If you create the right course, you could generate passive income for years to come. There are many different types of courses:

You can teach people how to write or use writing tools (like Scrivener), you can offer tips on how to publish their work (and get paid!), and even teach them how to market themselves as authors.

A good example of this type of instructor would be Chuck Sambuchino from Writer’s Digest University (WDU). He creates all kinds of classes on how best to publish your work—both traditionally and independently along with a variety of other topics related to being an author in today’s world.

Tip #7: Write Better Emails To Your List

Write better emails to your list. This is the most obvious tip, but it’s also the most important. You need to be sending emails that are relevant to your subscribers and give them value. If you can get people excited about your content from the start, then they will likely stick around and continue reading (and buying) from you in the long run.

Be consistent with your email communication: Having an inconsistent schedule for sending out updates isn’t going to help anyone!

If people don’t know when they can expect an email from you, then it makes it harder for them to plan around what they want or need at any given time and that can lead some readers to opt out because there wasn’t anything interesting enough offered within those updates that would have kept them engaged long enough into their purchase cycle before giving up altogether.”

Tip #8: Create An Ebook And Sell It On Your Blog

This is a great way to generate passive income, but it’s not always easy. You have to create something that will help your readers (not just fill up space), then you have to get people to buy it!

If you write about a topic that interests you, chances are there are others out there who feel the same way. If there was an ebook or course about how to write better, would you buy it? I know I would!

I created an ebook called How To Write A Blog Post In Under 30 Minutes which went on sale for 99 cents during Black Friday last year and sold over 2,000 copies in just a few weeks! It was so popular because everyone needed such a product at that time everyone wanted their blog posts written fast!

Tip #9: Be Available For Media Interviews

If you’re a content creator, you’ve likely been interviewed by someone somewhere at some point in your career. This can be a great way to get the word out about your business or product, but as I’m sure you know, getting an interview is not easy. There are some things you can do to increase your chances of being asked:

Have a media kit ready that includes information about yourself, any products or services that you have created in the past and what makes them unique, and any press releases about those products/services (if applicable).

Be able to answer questions about whatever it is that you’re trying to promote for example: if I were trying to promote my book on how technology is leading us into slavery (shameless plug), then I’d want my response ready when asked why I think technology will lead us into slavery rather than improve our lives as people seem so quick to believe.

If possible also have some quotes from other sources who support this idea this helps give more credibility to what you’re saying!

Have a few short yet powerful quotes ready for use when needed (I always like using “real talk” type quotes when possible because they tend not only to be funny but also really hit home).

You should know who said these words beforehand so if need be they don’t come off sounding completely out of the left field without context behind them (which could make people question whether they were said by anyone worthwhile).

Tip #10: Have A Specific Writing Goal Every Day

You should set a goal for the day and keep it simple, like “write for at least 20 minutes” or “write as long as you can.” If your goal is to write for only one hour, then try to beat that next time so that your next goal can be longer.

You’ll want to do this over and over again until you’re able to write for hours on end without stopping to build up momentum. One of my goals was “write 1,000 words per day,” which I eventually turned into 2,000 words per day when writing became more fun than stressful.

After doing this consistently every single day (for months!), it’s been said by some people that I’m now an author! They may have been lying about being impressed with what little work I did myself; nevertheless, if something seems too good to be true…

Tip #11. Invest In Good Writing Software Like Scrivener And Self Control For Macs

Scrivener is popular writing software that’s available for both Windows and Mac desktops, plus Linux. It lets you organize your writing into sections, which can be broken down into chapters or scenes based on your preference.

You can even organize individual words within sentences or paragraphs if you want to see how it will look on the page before publishing it.

It also makes it easy to write while blocking out distractions, so if you have problems focusing at home but know you’ll need some time away from distractions at work during lunchtime, consider using this tool during those hours instead of trying to multitask between tasks (which never works).

Self Control is an app designed specifically for writers who need help with productivity when creating new content because their attention tends to wander easily and we all know how hard it is when life gets busy around us!

This app blocks out distractions effectively by limiting access only when scheduled times are set up in advance; once activated (preferably early), no calls can get through except those that include unique codes set up beforehand (this means no texting either).

Tip #12. Schedule Time For Everything, Including Writing, Promotion, Social Media, And So On

Make a to-do list.

Use project management tools (we’ll cover some of these in our next tip).

Schedule time for everything, including writing, promotion, and social media.

Remember that your priority should always be on the task at hand. Even if you don’t feel like doing it even if you think it’s not worth your time always do what needs to be done, then move on with your day. This is how all successful people work; they stop procrastinating and get things done!

Tip #13. Never Stop Learning About Writing, Marketing, Email Lists, And So On… As This Will Help, You Become More Marketable As A Writer

Next, you should make sure you’re learning about writing, marketing, email lists, and so on… as this will help you become more marketable as a writer. You’ll be able to write more articles and get more money if you do this. It also means that you can help more people by teaching them what they need to know about writing and marketing their content.

Conclusion

I hope that you take these tips to heart and implement them in your writing career. If you do, I’m confident that you’ll be able to earn a full-time income as a writer!
