Not only did it take way more energy than necessary to keep up this charade, but whenever anyone asked me any questions about what my job entailed (which was often), my mind would go blank and panic overtook me as waves of “I have no idea” crashed over me again and again until finally one day when someone said, “Can we talk about your work?” 

And instead of answering with “Oh yeah! Let’s get started,” it came out more like “Ummmmm ……… uhhh…. uhhhhhh…..”
