I Needed A Career Path
I had a few goals in mind when deciding to pursue a master’s degree in marketing research. The most important thing for me was finding a career that I could grow with.
I wanted something where I would be challenged and able to broaden my skillset over time, but also something that would allow me to make an impact on the world around me. The third goal was important because, let’s face it: we all need money!
So many of us look back at our childhoods and ask ourselves if we could’ve predicted what our future careers would look like or how they would impact our lives as well as others’ lives.
At age 10, no way! In fact, even at 30 years old (the age when most people start pursuing higher education), we probably wouldn’t have been able to tell you exactly what you’d be doing ten years later… However…

I Love Learning
There are many reasons why I decided to pursue a Masters in Marketing Research. My love of learning is one of the biggest factors. For me, learning new things is the best way to stay engaged and interested in my day-to-day activities.
I’m always looking for ways to improve my skills and knowledge base, whether that be through books or blogs or watching educational videos on YouTube any kind of information can help you grow!
I love reading about new trends in marketing research; I enjoy hearing about how different companies utilize technology (or don’t);
I am fascinated by what products are being released into the market; And most importantly, I want to keep up with people around me who are doing great things!
I Wanted To Understand The Business World Better
In my first marketing job, I learned that the business world is not always as straightforward as it seems. The market research industry is full of jargon that can be hard to wrap your head around.
In fact, there are so many terms used in this field that it can be difficult to know which ones to focus on and how they relate to one another.
It was only after I had been working as a market researcher for several years that I started piecing together what all these things mean and how they relate to one another.
I knew that if I wanted a better understanding of how businesses work, then it would help me enormously if I could see the big picture from an industry perspective rather than just from within my own company.

I Wanted To Develop New Skills In A Short Amount Of Time
One of the major reasons for pursuing a master’s in marketing research was to develop new skills quickly.
A lot of people have this misconception that it takes forever to learn something new and become an expert, but it doesn’t have to be that way. If you are motivated and determined you can learn anything in a short amount of time.
I wanted something where I could learn on my terms at my own pace so I wouldn’t feel rushed or pressured into doing things too fast just because everyone else around me was doing them faster than I was comfortable with.
I Needed A Change Of Scenery
I was tired of the same old routine, and I was looking for a new challenge. I wanted to try something new and be in an environment that would keep me on my toes. As someone who thrives off challenges, this was the perfect fit for me.
I wanted to be around people who had similar goals and ambitions as me people that were willing to work hard and learn from one another.
I Wanted To Work On My Professional Network
Networking is important. It’s a resource, a way to get your foot in the door, and a way to get a job, promotion, and raise. A professional network provides you with opportunities you might not be able to find elsewhere.
I decided that it would be beneficial for me to pursue my Master’s in Marketing Research because it would help me develop my professional network by connecting me with alumni from my university who are now working in the field of marketing research (and other fields).
Marketing research is both an art and a science, requiring creativity and analytical skills to decipher consumer trends. I Wanted To Increase My Earning Potential
To me, the most important thing above all else is to be able to provide for myself and my family. That’s why I have spent so much time thinking about what career path will help me do that.
One of my biggest concerns when it comes to choosing a career path is whether or not it will increase my earning potential (and therefore, help me achieve the American Dream).
After doing some research into the marketing research industry and speaking with recruiters in this field about their salary expectations for candidates with different backgrounds and degrees, I learned that:
The average salary for entry-level positions in marketing research is around $40,000/year. This can vary depending on your location as well as other factors like education level/amount of experience.
People who earn master’s degrees in business administration or related fields are often paid more than those with bachelor’s degrees only because they possess valuable skillsets such as leadership abilities.
And business knowledge is highly sought after by employers looking for high-performing team members who can take on challenging projects independently (which means less training time needed).
I Was Looking For A Field That Was Relevant Today And Would Be In Demand Tomorrow
I’ve always been a fan of marketing, but I wanted to make sure that whatever I pursued as a career was going to be relevant today and tomorrow. I needed something that would influence companies and individuals in the present, but also help society at large over time.
You see, marketing research is critical for many industries not just those directly involved with advertising and promotion.
For example, if you run a restaurant or hotel chain then you need data about your customers so you can tailor your offerings based on what they want (and don’t want).
If you’re in manufacturing then it’s crucial for understanding how customers feel about new products before investing heavily into them (and potentially losing money).
In addition to being relevant today and tomorrow, there are other reasons why pursuing an MSMR degree makes sense:
The field is growing faster than average
I Want To Solve Real Problems For Real Companies And Individuals
For this reason, I decided that my masters program should focus on marketing research. I’m interested in solving real problems for real companies and individuals.
I want to find out what people want and need because it’s not always clear how the product you’re selling will benefit them. We must understand how our products impact the lives of others and how they can be improved upon.
So yes, I’ve chosen a path where there are challenges ahead! But that’s what keeps me motivated: knowing that every day is an opportunity to do something new and make someone else’s life better than it was before.

I Was Looking For A Way To Utilize My Strengths
I decided to pursue a masters in marketing research because I was looking for a way to utilize my strengths.
Research is an excellent way to learn about your strengths and how they might be put into practice. It’s also a great tool for improving your strengths, and it can help you find ways of using them so that they’re more effective in solving real problems and issues.
I Wanted A Job Where Creativity Was Encouraged And Rewarded
If you’re like me, you have a passion for marketing research. The ability to use your creativity and problem-solving skills to create solutions for companies is an exciting prospect that can help make the world a better place.
As much as I enjoy working on projects that involve creativity, there are also plenty of other reasons why pursuing a Master’s degree in marketing research will be valuable.
The business world is increasingly becoming more and more concerned with creativity not only in terms of how they market themselves but also how they select employees who will bring new ideas into their company culture, which can help them thrive in today’s fast-paced environment.
As an individual who has always been interested in learning new things and pushing me out of my comfort zone, I find this idea incredibly appealing:
You don’t just learn about what others have done before you; instead, you’re allowed (even encouraged) to try something new yourself! And if it works out well enough for someone else’s company? Well then maybe someday soon someone else will get lucky too!
Innovation Is A Must In The Field Of Market Research
As a market research professional, you have to be on your toes at all times. The field of market research is one that consistently evolves and changes, which means you have to be able to adapt accordingly.
Market researchers are constantly working on new ways of conducting their studies, as well as improving their existing methods of collecting data.
As such, it’s important for all marketers and business owners to stay up-to-date with regards to the latest trends in this industry so they can incorporate them into their own workflows and strategies as needed.
Problem-Solving Is One Of My Strengths
If you’re like me, you’ve been told that problem-solving is one of your strengths. It’s true: I always enjoy the process of analyzing a puzzle and then figuring out how to solve it whether that means finding an answer on my own or collaborating with others to figure it out together.
Problem-solving is an important skill in marketing research because it helps us think critically about our data and formulate insights along the way. But don’t worry if problem-solving isn’t your favorite thing; there are other skills we’ll work on too!
My Communication Style Is Perfect For Consulting With Customers To Discover What They Need From My Company’s Products Or Services
While the field of market research has many different aspects to it, communication is one of the most important. You’ll be working directly with customers and clients, so being able to communicate effectively is key.
It’s not only important for you to be able to talk about your findings in a clear way, but also for you to be able to understand how others will interpret them.
As a market researcher, you’ll also often need to work in teams or groups on projects or assignments.
This means that your ability to speak up and share information openly with others will play a large role in getting things done well whether that means presenting findings at meetings or simply collaborating on group projects through email chains or Slack channels!
Your ability may also require frequent contact with other departments within the organization (such as sales) which can sometimes feel uncomfortable if there isn’t good rapport between teams already established beforehand.
Feeling intimidated by market research is common, but overcoming this feeling can open doors to valuable insights. Explore our tips on conducting market research without feeling overwhelmed and gain the confidence to navigate research processes with ease and curiosity.
Patience Is One Of My Strengths
Patience is one of my strengths. I know this because it’s something I’ve been told by many people, and it’s something that I believe to be true about myself.
This might sound like an odd thing for a person to say about themselves, but it’s all relative. As an example: when I was in second grade, my teacher told me that she thought I had the patience of a saint (or possibly a monk).
At the time, this didn’t mean much because my understanding of what being patient meant was limited at best; I just knew that my teacher said nice things about me often and sometimes gave out stickers or star stickers when she liked what we did in class.
It wasn’t until later on in life that I understood how important patience is and why it’s one of my strengths!
I hope that this article has given you some insight into what it’s like to be a Masters in Marketing Research student and how rewarding the experience can be.
I know that it’s not always easy to choose the right path for yourself, but if you have a passion for marketing research, I can tell you from personal experience that this is one field where your skills will always be in demand.
