I decided to pursue a Masters in Marketing Research because I was looking for a career path that would allow me to utilize all my natural strengths.

I Needed A Career Path

I had a few goals in mind when deciding to pursue a master’s degree in marketing research. The most important thing for me was finding a career that I could grow with. 

I wanted something where I would be challenged and able to broaden my skillset over time, but also something that would allow me to make an impact on the world around me. The third goal was important because, let’s face it: we all need money!

So many of us look back at our childhoods and ask ourselves if we could’ve predicted what our future careers would look like or how they would impact our lives as well as others’ lives. 

At age 10, no way! In fact, even at 30 years old (the age when most people start pursuing higher education), we probably wouldn’t have been able to tell you exactly what you’d be doing ten years later… However…

It was only after I had been working as a market researcher for several years that I started piecing together what all these things mean and how they relate to one another.

I wanted something where I could learn on my terms at my own pace so I wouldn’t feel rushed or pressured into doing things too fast just because everyone else around me was doing them faster than I was comfortable with.

I was tired of the same old routine, and I was looking for a new challenge. I wanted to try something new and be in an environment that would keep me on my toes. As someone who thrives off challenges, this was the perfect fit for me. 

I wanted to be around people who had similar goals and ambitions as me people that were willing to work hard and learn from one another.

I Wanted To Work On My Professional Network

Networking is important. It’s a resource, a way to get your foot in the door, and a way to get a job, promotion, and raise. A professional network provides you with opportunities you might not be able to find elsewhere.

I decided that it would be beneficial for me to pursue my Master’s in Marketing Research because it would help me develop my professional network by connecting me with alumni from my university who are now working in the field of marketing research (and other fields).

You see, marketing research is critical for many industries not just those directly involved with advertising and promotion. 

For example, if you run a restaurant or hotel chain then you need data about your customers so you can tailor your offerings based on what they want (and don’t want). 

If you’re in manufacturing then it’s crucial for understanding how customers feel about new products before investing heavily into them (and potentially losing money).

Patience Is One Of My Strengths

Patience is one of my strengths. I know this because it’s something I’ve been told by many people, and it’s something that I believe to be true about myself.

This might sound like an odd thing for a person to say about themselves, but it’s all relative. As an example: when I was in second grade, my teacher told me that she thought I had the patience of a saint (or possibly a monk). 

At the time, this didn’t mean much because my understanding of what being patient meant was limited at best; I just knew that my teacher said nice things about me often and sometimes gave out stickers or star stickers when she liked what we did in class. 

It wasn’t until later on in life that I understood how important patience is and why it’s one of my strengths!
