The next step is to show your skills. As a team leader, you will be expected to accomplish things and solve problems. But how do you prove that?

You can do so by telling people what skills are yours and what they can expect from you. The more specific the better! For example: “I am good at managing projects.” That’s nice and all but what does that mean? 

Does it mean that I write good emails about projects or manage them well in person? What does “managing” mean exactly? 

This word is too vague for anyone to understand what kind of job candidate I am because there are many different kinds of project managers out there with very different skill sets. 

What if I said instead: “I’m great at getting people together on Google Calendar so we can plan our weekly meetings ahead of time.” That makes much more sense because now everyone knows exactly what kind of team leader they’re hiring (and how much work it takes).

3. Learn To Be An Amazing Follow-Up Person

It’s important to be clear about what you want and when you want it. Don’t be afraid to ask questions, but don’t overdo this. 

You will get the answers that are right for YOU if YOU just keep asking politely until someone gives them too! Keep smiling and being friendly while doing this too!
