When we talk about branding, we’re talking about how to create a story. Branding is about creating a story that makes people want to interact with you or buy your product or service. 

Your brand is the way people perceive you and what they think of when they interact with your company.

We’re also talking about creating a brand identity this is the visual aspect of what makes up your company’s look and feel (think logo design). 

It’s important not only because it helps people recognize who you are but also because it gives them something concrete to remember when they think back on their experience interacting with your business or product.

Branding isn’t just about how others perceive us; it’s also how we perceive ourselves as well – our own “brand personality.” 

We can use this personality to build our brand within larger organizations (like an accelerator program) so that everyone knows who we are and what values/attributes define us as individuals working toward common goals together.

It’s good to start building your brand early on. The earlier you get started with branding, the better. 

You don’t want to wait until you’ve finished building your product or service before getting a branding team involved, because then it will be too late. You need to start building your brand as soon as possible.

The reason why people don’t start thinking about their marketing strategy until they have already built their company is that they think it will take money away from other areas of their business (like hiring developers). 

This isn’t true! If you’re going to spend money on anything for your startup besides servers and software licenses… spend it on branding!

Branding Can Have A Huge Impact On The Success Or Failure Of Your Startup

There is no denying the importance of branding in today’s world. If you want to get to the next level, your brand has to be on point. 

Think about it: how many times have you heard someone say “I’m going to start a business” or “I want that business idea”? And how many times did those businesses succeed? Chances are, not many.

But when a person with an established brand decides to launch something new and exciting, it gets all kinds of attention especially if that person has any kind of celebrity status or following already in place from their previous work (think Lady Gaga launching her makeup line). 

This can lead directly to funding opportunities and customers for your startup which is exactly what happened for me when I launched my clothing line three years ago!
